NEW BAPE hoodies from the 07 and 08 collection!
Here's a glimpse of BAPE's Fall '07 / Winter '08 collection, in all its superhuman glory! If you've been an ahoodie.com addict for awhile now, some of these new BAPE hoods should look quite familiar. If not, where the F@$% have you been!?!?
The majority of the hoods are split into two categories; superhero themed hoodies or all-over camo hoodies. BAPE's collaboration with DC comics, gives these comic book characters an even MORE cartoony look! The prints are quite basic, with little 'bat ear' details that complete the look. The simplicity of the designs will appeal to those hard-core DC comic fans (read: nerds) as Nigo didn't try to create a whole new concept with these already popular superheroes. As chef Boyardee would surely say: It's all in the sauce! BAPE took an already tasty recipe: DC comic book characters such as Batman, superman Flash and Wonder Woman; and added just a dab of paprika for colour and taste. The allover camo prints on the other hand, are reminiscent of past BAPE hoodies, and frankly they don't particularly tantalize our tastebuds. Remember when you used to love meatloaf mondays, until momma ape got a membership at Costco (despite the fact that you're an only child)? And now EVERYDAY is meatloaf monday! Yeahh............ Well, like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Indeed! We're sure these BAPE hoodies will still be a hot ticket item. Our favourite is the Baby Milo rainbow on black all-over camo!
As for the rest of the BAPE sweatshirt collection, you've got a little bit of everything. A 'potluck' of designs, if you will. BAPE's latest collection offers a variety of hoodies featuring a waffle-knit fabric, plaid print, and BAPE's mighty slogan "Ape shall never kill ape". For all you armless BAPE fans, BAPE's also offering a few sleeveless sweaters for your 'special' needs!
